What
is CAN?
The Carrier Alliance Network, or
CAN for short, represents a group of carriers that have
agreed to jointly utilize technology to exchange capacity
and loads to better serve their customers and drivers.
TMW Systems facilitates the CAN by providing the software
and intermediary linking technology to make the exchange
function seamlessly with the carrier's current operations.
Alliances can be formed between two or more carriers that
have agreed to do business and have signed the CAN Participant
Agreement.
When will the software and service be ready and can I try it for free?
TMW WILL RELEASE THE FIRST VERSION OF THE SOFTWARE TO TMW CUSTOMERS
AROUND THE FIRST WEEK IN JUNE! IF YOU SIGN UP FOR THE CAN SOFWARE AND SERVICE PRIOR TO SEPTEMBER 15, 2004, TMW
WILL WAIVE ALL FEES FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR!
How will the Carrier Alliance Network help my trucking company increase profits?
The CAN system allows carrier operations personnel to offer loads and power
or to view other carriers' available loads and power using the familiar dispatch screens they already
use today. If a match is found, the two carriers can exchange data before, during and after the load
without the need for any error-prone, time-consuming manual entry. The result is less deadhead and
layover, better load management for your customer, happier drivers and enhanced profitability!
What is the key to the success of CAN?
Two pieces of software are key to making the Carrier Alliance Network work.
The first runs in conjunction with your current dispatch management system to integrate the exchange
of data between your system and other carriers. The second piece of software runs at TMW's
intermediary site to control the exchange of data between CAN members. This software utilizes
business rules that you define to control the loads and power your staff see and to which other
carriers your power and loads are offered. This powerful and highly flexible exchange engine
ensures that your operations personnel are not wasting their time looking at exchange opportunities
that don't make sense or would jeopardize customer service.
